Ramblings: Photoshop vs Paint Shop Pro

      05/07/2009

For many years I have used Paint Shop Pro, and I have taken courses to teach me how to use it in-depth, and I would say there is not a lot about the programme that I don’t now know.

However, trying to expand my creativity levels and not being a very imaginative person, I have lately been trawling the internet for Paint Shop Pro tutorials and tips, and find there just are not very many nowadays – well, maybe this is because I have worked through all that I am interested in!

There certainly seems to be more new information and tutorials for Photoshop these days, so I have decided to take the bull by the horns and try to learn as much about Photoshop as I know about PSP.

Somehow, I feel sure that when I have done this, Illustrator or some other programme will be the designers software of choice!

I have been looking around the internet to find comparisons with the two programmes, but have only managed to find articles written by fans of  either programme, so fairly biased.

I will spend some time learning my way around Photoshop and working through tutorials and tips that interest me – then I will create my own ramblings on the subject of ‘Photoshop vs Paint Shop Pro’.

However, should anyone wish to fill me in in the meantime on the advantages of one programme over the other, please feel free to do so.
